Beautiful and not to be underestimated, Freya - goddess of luck and love - leader of the Valkyries on the battlefield. Fully licensed by Grand Power, the Freya R15 is THE trade fair novelty at IWA 2024 from Delta Armory and is available now. It has some very remarkable features combined with an unbeatable price-performance ratio. The R15 Freya soft air rifle from Delta Armory as an S-AEG with quick spring change system in 6 mm BB caliber belongs to the Alpha series (the Alpha series is the full metal series) and is therefore made of full metal. The upper receiver and lower receiver are manufactured in a very attractive skeleton design and using an aluminum printing process. In contrast to real Freya, Delta has deliberately dispensed with the cut-outs in the body in order to focus on reliability and trouble-free operation. On the aluminum handguard and the body there is a Picatinny rail according to MIL-STD-1913 or STANAG 2324 (NATO) on which all common aiming aids can be mounted, whether telescopic sights or red dot sights. Delta Armory has installed a horizontally and vertically adjustable rear sight as well as a height-adjustable front sight. The rear and front sights are flip-up and made of polymer. The outer barrel has a 14 mm left-hand thread for mounting a dummy silencer or a tracer unit for use at night or in urban combat. The operating elements such as the fire selector lever, which engages perfectly on the various settings, are designed on one side. The slightly curved trigger guard makes it easy to pull the trigger even when wearing gloves. The pistol grip is ergonomically shaped. The sling swivel above the grip has a mount for carrying straps on the left and right side. To access the adjustable hop-up in the case ejection port, pull the charging handle to the rear. The Freya has a functioning bolt catch, so the hop-up can be easily adjusted. The T-shaped charging handle on this model has ambidextrous (ambi) locking catches that are switched in the same way. Whether you pull left, right or both sides, the charging handle is easy to operate. The Delta Armory Freya R15 is supplied with a mid-cap magazine. The stock of the rifle has a flap that can be opened with a push button on the top. To do this, the stock must be extended to at least the second click position. The stock has space for an 11.1 volt Lipo battery. Either stock-type batteries or our modern Bears-Tec triple-stick batteries can be used. Older or cheaper batteries will not fit in the battery compartment due to the dimensions. The installed gearbox from Delta Armory is a V2 metal gearbox with 8 mm bearings. Thanks to an adjustable hop-up chamber, the range and precision of the assault rifle is remarkable. Mosfet no thanks! The new Eagle ETU from Delta Armory With the new Eagle ETU, separate mosfets are a thing of the past. The Freya comes with the new Hybrid ETU from Delta Armory which already contains the core functions of a mosfet and offers much more than a mosfet alone can provide. It has a microswitch for the fire selector lever, a magnetic switch for the trigger and optical sensors to detect the gearbox position. This allows a wide range of customized functions to be achieved - unfortunately only to a limited extent on the German market due to gun laws. The advantages are high sensitivity, long service life and low influence from external interference. The use of brushless motors is supported. For this purpose, the active brake must be set to "OFF".
